ENGRAVING IDEAS

Most of our medals and trophies include free engraving up to 24 letters, so short, simple wording works best. Using the same wording on every medal or plate is the cheapest way to do it.

How many letters can I have engraved for free?

Most of our medals include free engraving up to 24 letters on each medal, as long as the engraving is the same on all. Our economy trophies include up to 24 letters per plate. Each product shows its own allowance underneath.

What does extra or different engraving cost?

Additional letters are 2p each when all the engraving stays the same. If the engraving changes on each item, it is 10p extra per medal on products like the JM85 judo medal, and 25p extra per plate on the economy trophies. On centre holder medals, engraving on the back is 2p a letter.

What should I engrave?

Short wording that tells the story works best. Good choices are the event and year, the position, the age group or the award title. Examples that fit comfortably within 24 characters, spaces included: WINNER 2026, SPORTS DAY 2026, 1ST PLACE U11, PLAYER OF THE YEAR and CLUB CHAMPION 2026.

How can I keep engraving costs down?

Use the same wording on every medal or plate and keep it within the free allowance. Putting each person's name on their own medal is possible, but it costs extra on each one.

Where is the engraving?

On the back of a medal. We cannot engrave the front of a medal. Trophies are engraved on the plate.

How do I give you the wording?

Include your engraving details when you order. For trophies, state the quantity, code, sport and engraving details. Check the spelling before you send it, because we engrave exactly what you give us.
